||About Saraswati Ma||

Goddess Saraswati (Sarasvati) is the wife (consort) of Lord Brahma and possesses the powers of speech, wisdom and learning. she’s two hands representing two aspects of human personality in learning; mind, intellect, alertness and ego.

she’s sacred scriptures in five hand also a lot us (a symbol of true knowledge) in the second. With her other two hands she plays the music of love and life on the violin (veena).

Saraswati is depicted as clothed in white, seated on a white lotus playing the gizmo veena. The two vedas are considered to be her offsprings. Her mount, the swanis said to personify pure knowledge. Any institution of learning is regarded as Saraswati’s temple. Musical instruments are also regarded as symbols of Saraswati. Saraswati is said to be the bestower of knowledge that dispels ignorance and unhappiness.

As a river/water goddess, Saraswati symbolizes fertility and prosperity. she is associated with purity and creativity,  in the context of communication, such as in literary and verbal skills. In the post-Vedic age, She began to lose her status as a river goddess and became increasingly associated with literature, arts, music, etc. Her name literally means “the five who flows”, which apparently was applied to thoughts, words, or the flow of a river

she is dressed in white (sign of purity) and rides on a white goose (swan).

Saraswati is regarded as the Goddess of knowlede and the arts. Saraswati represents consciousness and wisdom. Saraswati is also regarded as Vaagdevi, the goddess of sound and speech. Saraswati is revered as the dispeller of chaos and confusion.
