1. Kabira Khada bazaar mein maange sub ki khair
Na kahu se dosti na kahu se bair.
Translation: - The poet Kabeer standing in market wishes all the best for all neither has friendship from anyone nor have enmity from anyone.
Meaning: - Everyone must be neutral for each person.
2. Bura jo khojan mein chala, bura na miliya koi,
Jo mann khojyo aapno mujh sa bura na koi.
Translation: - When I was searching for a bad person I couldn’t found but when I looked myself then found that nobody is bad like me.
Meaning: - Before searching evils of others one must search about him.
3. Chalati chakki dekh Kar, Diya Kabeera roye
Dui paatan ke beech mein, Saabut bacha na koye.
Translation: -Looking at the grinding stones, Kabir laments between the dual of wheels, nothing stays intact.
Meaning: - A good person also gets harmed when he lives among bad people.
4. Kaal kare so aaj kar, aaj kare so ab,
Pal mein pralay hoyegi, bahuri karega kab?
Translation: - The work you want to do tomorrow do that today, and the work you want to do today do that just now. The destruction will occur in one second then when will you do?
Meaning: - One must not be lazy because lazy person always repent after passing the suitable time.
5. Saanyi itana deejiye jaa mein kutumb samaay,
Main bhi bhookha na rahoon, saadhu na bhookha jay.
Translation: - Oh God give me as much that my hole family can get satisfied neither I remain hungry nor any saint go hungry from my door.
Meaning: - Everyone must think about himself his family as well as about the poor people also.
6. Dukh mein sumiran sab karen, sukh mein kare na koy
Jo sukh mein sumiran kare, to dukh kahe ko hoy.
. Translation: - Everyone remembers God in bad & sad time nobody remembers in good & happy time, if anybody remembers in happy time then why sad time comes?
Meaning: - We must not forget the God at the time of happiness also because if we will remember the God in good time of our life then we will never fall in sad.
7. Aisee vaanni boliye, mann ka aapa khoy,
Auran ko sheetal kare apahu sheetal hoy.
Translation:- Speak like this that your speech touches others heart that make cool to others and make cool to you also.
Meaning: - One must speak politely and sweetly.
8. Jaise til mein tel hai, jyon chakmak mein aag,
Tero saanyi tujh mein hai, tu jaag sake to jaag.
Translation: - As oil remains in sesame and fire in lighter your God also remains in yourself if you can awake then awake.
Meaning: - Need not to wandering here and there in search of the God if you will search you will find him inside you.
9. Dheere dheere ray mana dheere sub kuch hoye,
Maali sainche sau ghada, rut aaye phal hoye.
Translation: - Oh man! Have patience because everything happens slowly-slowly. The gardener pours hundreds of pitchers but fruits always get when season comes.
Meaning: - We must have patience and must wait for suitable conditions.
10. Jaat na poocho saadhu ki, pooch leejiye gyaan
Mol karo talwar ki padi rehen jo mayaan.
Translation: - Do not ask about the caste of a saint ask about his knowledge no value of a sward that remains in case.
Meaning: - We must not differentiate any person by his cast but instead.
11. Jeevat samajhe jeevat bujhay, jeevat hi karo aas,
Jeevat karam ki phaans na kaati, moye mukti ki aas.
12. Maangan marann samaan hai, mat koi maango bheekh
Maangan se maranna bhala yeh sataguru ki seekh.
Translation: - Beggaring is like to be dying nobody begs beggaring to be dying is better then beggaring this is the taught of teacher.
Meaning: - According to the poet beggaring is the worst. So nobody should beg among others.
